Boston Detective Frank Shaw (Joel Kinnaman) returns to duty after a career-altering injury leaves him with permanent hearing loss. A detective with hearing loss and a deaf witness to a murder must lean on each other to outsmart killers they can't hear coming when cornered in an abandoned apartment block.
The final act will make or break the movie for many, but I happened to love its full sicko mode and only wish the whole film had this level of creativity.
Despite my criticisms there’s still a lot of fun to be had here. It’s visceral, brutal and the filthiest Alien movie yet.
