Pushpa 2: The Rule
In 2024, Mythri Movie Makers, in collaboration with Sukumar Writings, produced the action drama film Pushpa 2: The Rule, which was directed by Sukumar and released in Telugu. Alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj, Allu Arjun plays the movie's title role. It is the follow-up to the 2021 movie Pushpa: The Rise and the second installment in the Pushpa film series.
A few days before the first movie came out in December 2021, the sequel was formally revealed under the title Pushpa 2, and in August 2022, Pushpa 2: The Rule was added as a subtitle. Ten percent of the movie's footage was first filmed consecutively with the original.

Devi Sri Prasad composed the film's music, Mirosław Kuba Brożek handled the cinematography, and Naveen Nooli handled the editing. One of the priciest Indian films, it was made on a budget of ₹400–500 crore. It is among the longest Indian films ever produced, with a duration of 200 minutes.

Casting
The remaining actors from the first part, including Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Ajay Ghosh, have all returned to their respective roles; however, Jagapathi Babu was cast in a crucial role in April 2023. After being granted bail in a suicide case, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari returned to the cast in February 2024.
At first, there were rumors that several actresses, including Janhvi Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, and Disha Patani, were being considered for the item number. Sreeleela was later finalized, though.Subsequent reports claimed that Satya, Adithya Menon, Tarak Ponnappa, and Saurabh Sachdeva would also appear in the movie.
Music
Devi Sri Prasad wrote the film's background music and soundtrack, while Chandrabose wrote the lyrics. Additionally, Sam C. S. composed a background score for the movie. T-Series paid ₹65 crore to acquire the film's music rights. On May 1, 2024, "Pushpa Pushpa"—the first single—was made available. On May 29, 2024, "Sooseki (The Couple Song)"—the second single—was made available. On November 24, 2024, the third single, "Kissik," was made available. "Peelings" was the fourth single, and it was released on December 1, 2024. The album and its fifth single, "Gango Renuka Thalli," were both released on December 5, 2024.

The film's post-credits scene showcased the continuation of the story with a cliffhanger and the title for the third part revealed as Pushpa 3: The Rampage.
